finals' week, a harried post.

Ahhhh, it's been so long since I've written here. I'm sorry! Life has been hectic for me recently, and it's finals week now, so my time has been consumed by studying and test-taking. I just thought I'd drop by the blog and say hi, since it's been so long.

Nothing very exciting has been going on in my life, but I'll just tell you what has happened. Just for kicks, eh?

On Saturday 5 December, USC had its last game of the season, against Arizona State. We lost. I was extremely upset for the rest of the day. WE LOST FOUR GAMES IN ONE SEASON, WHAT IS THIS?!?!

In other news.

On Tuesday, I met with an academic advisor for accounting. We just talked about the little mundane details of what I would need to do to transfer into the Marshall School of Business, and then into the Leventhal School of Accounting (USC's Accounting department is handled by Marshall). If things go as planned, I'll apply to Marshall for the Spring of 2010. Hopefully. And I have to bring my GPA up, by a lot. Whew. I'm so glad I don't have both biology AND chemistry next semester, that would be absolutely horrid.

My History exam was supposed to be on Wednesday 9 December, but it was shifted to Friday the 11th. ie, today. However, we weren't informed of this shift, so I went to the exam hall, to see a sign on the door that said "Exam Postponed".

Ah.

Thank you for telling us beforehand.

On the bright side, I had studied like a maniac for Wednesday, so I was super prepared for today. So when I was taking the exam today, I was just writing continuously; I had memorized essay outlines, so when I saw the essay prompt, I didn't have to waste time outlining, since I already had the outline in my head. Instead, I just got right to writing, and so maximized my time.

Woohoo!

I feel really good about that final.

Yesterday, I had my chemistry final. The evening before, ie on Wednesday evening, in the middle of hours and hours of panicked last-minute review, I spent twenty minutes calculating exactly what I would need to score on the exam to pass the class. The figure turned out to be 113/200. With this in mind, at 8:00 AM on Thursday morning, I walked into the exam hall with a grim, staunchy mindset.

I WILL GET AT LEAST 113 ON THIS EXAM.

That was the only thought running through my head as I sat down, took out a pen, and put my head down.

The actual exam went a lot better than I thought it would! I would have been so happy with 115/200, but amazingly,

I SCORED 151!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

So if everything goes as the professors described, and the course is graded as they said it would be, then I will have passed chemistry, and don't have to redo the semester later in my college career!

I don't think anyone can possibly understand how happy that thought makes me.

ahhh.....

So History and Chemistry final examinations went well indeed. Though I haven't received my history one back, I'm sure I did fine on it.

I have biology on Monday, so now off I go to study like a maniac some more.
Wish me luck! :P

ps. I'M FLYING HOME IN SIX DAYS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
