Leadership Council, and other things.

Hi!

Well, here I am blogging before a class again. I just thought I'd take a minute to update you on my life, in case you were curious. ;)

It turns out I've been promoted within the Peer Health Exchange organization to a position in the Leadership Council, which is great! I'm happy to be able to add that to my resume... Plus, I've found that I really love being in a managerial, organizational-type occupation. So the Leadership Council Position, which basically means I'll be coordinating the teaching of a workshop within the USC Chapter of PHE's organization, is perfect for me. Also, since I really really love PHE, it's really my pleasure to be able to have a bigger part within the organization.

My workshop is Tobacco; not the most interesting of workshop topics, but an important one nonetheless. Originally, I was supposed to be in the Mental Health workshop, but since I got promoted to Leadership Council, I was moved to the Tobacco workshop. Woohoo!

What else... Oh, this past Saturday the USC football team played against Syracuse and won by a lot. Good job, SC! Unfortunately, it got REALLY cold after the sun went down, and I think I may have caught a cold... My nose is sniffly and I've got a slight cough, but hopefully it doesn't take too long for my body to get over it!

Me and my good friend Jordan at the game!

On Saturday and Sunday mornings, I did some more of the blood pressure screening volunteer work that I do for CHIP (Community Health Involvement Project). Saturday I woke up at 6:30 and did five straight hours of blood pressure screening at a local health fair; in total, I screened over forty people. It was exhausting, but so rewarding! And on Sunday, we were at a local Methodist church; the people there were so happy and so grateful that our organization was there to offer them blood pressure screening, I couldn't help but smile the whole time.

This is me at the health fair on Saturday morning. If I recall correctly, this guy actually had pretty excellent blood pressure. That always makes me happy, to be able to tell someone that they have good blood pressure. ^___^

... Okay actually I lied at the beginning of this post, when I publish this blogpost, it won't be before class anymore. I had to stop writing to go to class and now I'm back home, continuing it. But in essence, there you have it, my week last week.

This week, I have an exam for my chemistry class tomorrow, and my first PHE meeting as an LC tomorrow evening! I'm excited. :D This weekend, on Saturday, the USC Football team will be playing an away game against Arizona State... I'll let you know what the results of that are!

Before I go, I wanted to share this link with you... It's a collection of photos of baby animals, and THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! Click on the doggie below! After a long day of classes with a slight cold, I'm not going to lie to you, these made me much happier. ^_^

And... I believe that's all for now. Until next time, take care! :)

first midterm in 25 minutes! :o

HI! I'm studying outside before my first exam, which is in twenty five minutes. It's sunny and warm. There's so much glare on my computer screen that I can't even see the photo I just took.

Hope all's well! ^^

busybusybusy

I'm tired. Just thought I'd show you my face and let you know that I'm extraordinarily busy lately... But I love it! My first midterm is this coming Tuesday, in the most difficult class that I have so far. I hope I do well! Also, in my picture, I'm doing the Victory fingers because this past weekend, USC Football had its first home game of the school year against Minnesota. Did you know that their team is called the "Golden Gophers"? Hahaha, I thought that was a ridiculous name. Anyway, USC won 19-17, but I must say, the team's performance was rather shoddy. Hopefully they play better as we go further into the season, or we'll get miserably crushed against the likes of Stanford and Oregon! At least if they play a bit better, we'll get crushed, but not so painfully...

Okay time to go to French class!

I hope all's well with you!
